St Mary’s and Holy Trinity Joint All Age Communion and Bring and Share Lunch

On September 6th 2015 St Mary’s Church, Cromford invited their Joint Benefice partner Holy Trinity Church Matlock Bath to an All Age Communion Service followed by a Bring and Share Lunch. The service was led by Richard Maltby and The Holy Trinity Music group and during the service Richard discussed and consolidated the series of sermons Luke Street, which followed the progression of our Lord through his meetings with the disciples and their connections with the people, and onward progression. We all had fun drawing on post it notes where we think we are in our own relationship with our Father and attached them to a diagram Richard and his wife Hilary had provided.  There was a lovely friendly atmosphere with plenty of participation in the service, and all the children who attended made full use of the crèche and toys.

Following the service, the dishes that everyone had provided were carried out into the sunshine and amazingly filled four tables. There was plenty for everyone, it made us think of the Loaves and Fishes. It was a delight to be with such lovely company, in such wonderful surroundings on one of the sunniest afternoons we have had this year.

Thank you to everyone who provided food, help, and participated and made the day such a success.
